St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Lismore is a not-for-profit acute Surgical Medical Hospital operating under the auspices of the Trustees of The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lismore since 1921. Services include general medical, surgical, HDU, palliative care, rehabilitation and aged care facilities. The hospital enjoys a reputation for high quality care. St Vincent’s is seeking to fill the following positions:

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

Hospital Campus Manager (HCM) – After Hours

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Hospital Campus Manager is responsible for safe, efficient and effective clinical and operational management of the campus after business hours. The Hospital Campus Manager collaborates with senior management to plan, organise, implement and evaluate patients services whilst coordinating day to day bed management and patient flow.

To be considered, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated effective clinical leadership & management skills
  • Current Advanced Life Support certification or willing to obtain
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and available to work after hours shifts including evening, night and weekend shifts
  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience
  • Management experience desired

General Services Officer – Catering (Casual Position)

Reporting directly to the Catering Manager, the General Services Officer position will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the department with the preparation and serving of food for patients, residents and staff across the campus
  • Distribution of meals to patients, residents and caregivers across the campus
  • Maintaining food safety standards in accordance with appropriate legislation
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team to strict deadlines and timeframes

To be considered, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Proven time management and organisational skills
  • Experience working within a service environment and delivering a professional, empathetic and personalised approach to clients
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with a diverse range of patients, residents and caregivers
  • Knowledge of food safety principles
  • Previous hospitality experience preferred with a formal qualification relevant to the hospitality field highly regarded

Registered Nurses/Endorsed Enrolled Nurses – Scrub Scout/Anaesthetic/Recovery/HDU

Opportunities exist for experienced RNs and ENs to join our busy Operating Theatre and Recovery departments and High Dependency Unit. Surgical specialties include general, colorectal, ear nose and throat, ophthalmology, orthopaedic, gynaecology, oral and maxillofacial, vascular and urology. The departments offer ongoing development and a flexible roster with various shifts. While experience is preferred, training may be provided for suitable post graduate applicants.

To be considered, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Well developed interpersonal skills within a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and available to work all shifts on a rotating roster
  • For anaesthetics/recovery/HDU, current ALS certification preferred.
