Surgical Dresser

Exciting opportunities exist for highly motivated Surgical Dressers to join our Theatres team.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Lismore is a not-for-profit acute Surgical Medical Hospital operating under the auspices of the Trustees of The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lismore since 1921. Services include general medical, surgical, HDU, palliative care, community palliative care, rehabilitation and aged care facilities. The hospital enjoys a reputation for high quality care. St Vincents is seeking to fill the following permanent part- time & casual positions:

Surgical Dresser (Peri-Operative Assistant)

Opportunities exist for Surgical Dressers to join our busy Operating Theatre and Recovery departments. Surgical specialties include general, colorectal, ear nose and throat, ophthalmology, orthopaedic, gynaecology, oral and maxillofacial, vascular and urology. The department offers ongoing development and a flexible roster with various shifts. While experience is preferred, training will be provided for suitable applicants.

To be considered, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Well developed interpersonal skills within a team environment
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of Infection Control Principles and ACORN Standards an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and available to work all shifts on a rotating roster

Registered Nurses / Endorsed Enrolled Nurses

St Vincents is seeking to fill the following casual (with the possibility of permanent part time) positions:

Registered Nurses/Endorsed Enrolled Nurses

Reporting directly to the Nurse Unit Manager, the Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse assists in the provision of high quality care and support  to our patients. Opportunities exist for experienced Registered or Endorsed Enrolled Nurses to join a number of our departments including Rehabilitation, Palliative Care, Medical, Surgical and Peri-operative.

To be considered, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Well developed interpersonal skills within a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and available to work all shifts on a rotating roster
  • Minimum 12 months post-graduate experience

Sleep Technologist

An autonomous position exists to conduct sleep studies at St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

Services include general medical, surgical, HDU, palliative care, rehabilitation and aged care facilities. The hospital enjoys a reputation for high quality care. St Vincents is seeking to fill the following permanent part-time position:

Sleep Technologist/s

The Sleep Technologist will conduct the sleep acquisition, monitoring and titration processes as specified by Queensland Sleep clinic procedures and is responsible for the clinical management of all patients undertaking a sleep study through Queensland Sleep at St Vincent’s Hospital, assuming responsibility for their care and performing all necessary tests from admission to discharge.

Up to 36 hours per week is available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.

To be successful, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Current registration with AHPRA (RN or EEN) desirable
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with respect to time management and delegation
  • Ability to work autonomously with analytical approach to troubleshooting
  • Self motivated and flexible
  • Computer skills

Registered Nurse (Nephrology)

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in our Renal Dialysis Unit.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Lismore is a not-for-profit acute Surgical Medical Hospital operating under the auspices of the Trustees of The Roman Catholic Diocese of Lismore since 1921. Services include general medical, surgical, HDU, palliative care, rehabilitation and aged care facilities. The hospital enjoys a reputation for high quality care. St Vincents is seeking to fill the following casual position:

Registered Nurse (Nephrology)

Reporting directly to the Nurse Unit Manager, the Nephrology Registered Nurse assists in the provision of high quality care and support  to our patients within our 10 chair Renal Dialysis Unit. The Nephrology Registered Nurse specialises in the treatment and education of patients and their families with regard to treatment protocols.

To be considered, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Well developed interpersonal skills within a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and available to work all shifts on a rotating roster
  • Proven experience working within a renal dialysis unit desirable
  • Minimum 2 years post graduate experience
