Dr Hughes provides specialist palliative and supportive care input for patients and carers facing life limiting illnesses. She has an interest in early integration of palliative care into management of both malignant and non-malignant illnesses and focuses on shared care models with treating clinicians. Services include:

• Complex pain and symptom management
• Inpatient symptom management and stabilisation
• Medication support and management
• Complex decision making, communication and advance care planning
• Shared care arrangements
• End of life care
